What a sponsor slot buys.

A sponsor slot is one of 6 fixed positions in the rails either side of the page. It costs 25 in USD, GBP, EUR — the same number in each, not a converted amount — for one month.

It is a single payment with no subscription. Nothing renews, nothing recurs, and there is nothing to cancel. When the month ends the slot stops. We email you a few days before so you can take it again if you want to.

Slots differ by position, not price, and each one is exclusive: only one sponsor occupies a slot at a time.

Every submission is reviewed by a person before it appears — the link, the copy, and whether it’s something we’re willing to put in front of developers. Paying does not put you on the site.

Your month starts when the slot goes live, not when you pay, so a slow review costs you nothing. If we decide not to run it, you get a full refund and an explanation.

We refuse, at our discretion and without any obligation to be consistent:

• Anything misleading, deceptive, or impersonating someone else.
• Malware, phishing, scams, and anything a blocklist would object to.
• Adult content, gambling, and anything unlawful where we operate.
• Anything designed to look like a Shipleak finding, warning, or system message.

If a slot turns out to breach this after it goes live — the destination changes, say — we will remove it and refund the unused part of the month.

These are constraints on the product, not policies we’ll waive for a bigger payment:

• No tracking of any kind.No impression pixel, no retargeting tag, no third-party script, no click IDs. Your slot is text and an image served from our own domain. We audit other people’s sites for exactly this, so ours has to pass.
• No dofollow link. Every sponsor link carries rel="sponsored nofollow noopener", which is the correct disclosure for a paid link. If you are buying this for SEO value, buy something else.
• No influence on results. The scan engine cannot read who is paying us. A slot cannot change a finding, a severity, or a score, and no sponsor appears inside a list of findings.
• No per-viewer targeting.Slots can be targeted at the framework we detected on the site being scanned. That is a fact about the scanned site, not about the reader — there is no profile, no cookie, and no audience data, because we don’t collect any.

Sponsor slots appear in the side rails across the site, including the landing page and shared report permalinks. The rails are hidden on narrow screens— below roughly 1280px wide, phones and most tablets, they are not displayed at all. A meaningful share of visitors will therefore never see your slot. We’d rather tell you that than have you work it out later.

We do not provide impression or click reporting, because providing it would mean building the tracking we just promised not to build. If you want to measure a slot, use a distinct landing page URL on your own site and read your own analytics.

We don’t guarantee traffic volumes. If we ever quote a number, treat it as a description of the past rather than a promise about your month.

• Rejected at review — full refund.
• Removed by us after going live — pro-rata refund for the unused days, unless it was removed because it breached these terms.
• Changed your mind before it goes live — full refund, just ask.
• Extended outage— if the site is substantially unavailable for more than a few days of your month, tell us and we’ll extend the slot or refund the difference.

Refunds go back to the card you paid with, through Stripe. Email sponsors@shipleak.com.

You confirm you have the right to use the name, logo, and description you submit, and that they don’t infringe anyone’s rights. You grant us permission to display them on the site for the duration of your slot. You remain responsible for whatever your link points to.

Prices are stated in USD, GBP and EUR. Where sales tax or VAT applies, it is handled at checkout by Stripe, and your receipt from Stripe is your invoice.
